Radio Frequency (BODY)
Radio Frequency
Sagging skin, wrinkles and fine lines are common issues that stem from genetics or photodamage caused by exposure to the sun. Over time, collagen and elastin, two components present within your skin, break down and cause your skin to lose its elasticity.
During a radio frequency (RF) skin tightening procedure, heat is used to encourage the production of new collagen and elastin. The renewed production of these components helps to eliminate wrinkles and fine lines, and tightens skin.

The treatment can be used on any part of the body to tighten any loose and sagging skin. It is also suitable for any age group.
It is effectively used on areas of the face and neck, the breasts and tummy, and upper arms and thighs. But it can be used on any part of the body that requires the skin to be firmed. It is an appropriate treatment for the face because the ageing process sees a reduction in the amount of fat, particularly on the cheeks. Instead of plumping out the tissues (the outcome of filler treatments), it simply aims to tighten up the sagging skin in areas such as the nasolabial folds, marionette lines, and jowls.

Radio frequency can be performed as a stand alone treatment for skin tightening or combined with ultrasonic cavitation for complete body contouring.
Benefits of Body Contouring with RF:
Pure RF energy alone is primarily used to treat skin laxity and is best suited to clients with mild to moderate sagging of facial or body tissues, usually those in their mid-thirties to fifties.
In the body, it can help reduce and re-contour fatty areas in various parts of the body. It can work on virtually any part of the body. It can be used with ultrasonic cavitation and vacuum therapy for the treatment of cellulite and skin tightening on the arms, abdomen, buttocks and legs. Which helps support ultrasonic cavitation treatments when skin tightening is required with fat reduction.
Are there any contraindications?

Contraindication list:
Pregnant, Breastfeeding, HIV/AIDS, Cancer (all forms), Undergoing chemotherapy or immune therapy, Immunodeficiency, Lupus, High blood pressure (uncontrolled), Diabetes (uncontrolled), Prednisone and other steroid medications (treatment will increase inflammation), Heart problems or diseases, Kidney damage, diseases or problems, Liver damage, diseases or problems, Haemorrhagic disease, trauma or bleeding, Numb or insensitive to heat, Rosacea, Active implanted device such as pacemaker or defibrillator.
When will I see results and how long will it last?
You will notice a slight change in your skin immediately after the first treatment and will continue to improve after each subsequent treatment. Lax skin will be firmer and more toned, not to mention healthier and younger looking, and wrinkles will be considerably reduced. You should start to see improvement in your skin following the second treatment and additional improvement will gradually appear as the treatment course progresses. As new healthier collagen is formed, tighter, more natural looking and firmer skin will be produced. The gradual improvement in your skin will continue even after the completion of your course.
The improvement in skin quality should be long lasting from 3 months to a year. The results and how long they last are dependent on your skin health, diet and lifestyle. Top up treatments are usually needed and each person is different so it is difficult to be exact.
How many treatments will I need?
We recommend a series of 8-12 treatments about 72 hours apart, with the best effect being seen two months following the final treatment. Dependent on the number and how deep the lines and wrinkle are is dependent on the number of treatments required. Many clients like to have monthly treatments as a preventative to aging and to keep their face looking it’s best.
Is Radio Frequency Safe?
Radiofrequency skin tightening procedures cause few side effects and little to no downtime. All studies report no permanent side effects following treatment. Common side effects include:

Temporary swelling. Some clients may experience a slight swelling which can last up to 24 hours after treatment.redness
-
Tingling
-
Redness on the surface of the skin. This is heat-related erythema and will usually vanish within a couple of hours after.
-
Sensation of heat: This Is caused by the energy produced from the broken tat cells as they are imploding and they will be flushed out from your lymphatic system
-
Increase in the need to urinate, this is due to the extra water intake
-
Most of the clients do not experience any contra-actions and they experience no pain during the treatment, they usually describe the treatment as a relaxing warm massage.
